Henrico Doctors’ Hospital Celebrated a "Topping Off" of their $100 Million Expansion Topping Off Ceremony

Richmond, VA, December, 11, 2009 – Henrico Doctors’ Hospital celebrated a “topping off” of their $100 million expansion on December 10, 2009.  This expansion will transform the facility into the healthcare center of the future with a new Emergency Department, Heart Center, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Cancer Specialty Clinics and intra-operative MRI.

Physicians and staff were given the opportunity sign a steel beam in the days leading up to event. An American Flag along with a tree sat atop the beam that was lifted to the very top of the structure and fitted into place. In the months to come cement will be poured and the new building will begin to take shape.
